I was told by an owner of one of Poppet's puppies that if all English Springer Spaniels were like this puppy nobody in the world would have any other breed. The same must be said for Poppet. To me she is 100% in every way, exceptional, clever, loyal, pretty, the best companion a person could have. She knows what I am thinking before I have even thought it myself. We have that kind of rapport that is very rare in life. It really is a mutual fan club.
She is equally at home in the shooting field, at a working test, or in the show ring. A truly dual purpose dog, and to my mind exactly what an English Springer Spaniel should be.
Her working test wins have been in both Novice and Open. She has been awarded Best Hunter and Best in Test and in October 2004 at the Show Spaniels Field Day passed the ultimate test - The Show Gundogs Working Certificate.Although very lightly shown she has done well in the show ring, gaining her Stud Book Number in 2002.

Poppet's breeding days are over now, but during her time she has given us two litters, a total of fifteen puppies. Her stock have done her proud. Pip and Rachel are her daughters, Paula and Pomo are her grand children, and she has stock in Sweden at Kennel Qvarnhill.
