Canouan Absoloodle Doodle - Pip - was our choice from Poppet's litter to Arcadia Ambler Gambler. She is just over six years old now and shows correct conformation, great movement, is brim full of intelligence, and zest for life. Her mannerisms are so like her mother's it is uncanny. Pip has a lovely nature, kind, soft sweet and gentle, and a demon of a nose for game.
Pip has done very well in the show ring with lots of wins and places to her credit. She was placed 4th in Special Junior Bitch at Crufts 2001( Judge: Pan Wadsworth), 3rd in Mid Limit Bitch at Crufts 2003 (Judge Bob Jackson) and1st in the Special Working Class at Crufts 2004 (Judge: George Clarke). A very versatile dog Pip took 3rd in the Novice Bitch Test at the Show Spaniels Field Day 2003 under judge Mr Alec Geddes.
Pip is the mother of the Vikings Litter. She made the trip to Finland in her usual style, making friends with everyone she met, including the baggage handlers, and was not even fazed by being left on the luggage carousel at Helsinki Airport, instead of being at the cargo depot where she was supposed to be.
What the judges have said:
"...really you have to believe what the hands tell you. Really well constructed shoulder, good length and angulation of blade and upper arm, good length. depth and spring of rib, stong couplings. In superb coat with correct undercoat and topcoat. The most lovely expression...""(Mrs Meriel Hathaway)
"...Pretty bitch of pleasing type, deep body with plenty of angulation, shown in good coat and condition, moved soundly" (Mr John Thirlwell)
Pip is Eye Tested Clear August 2006, and Fucosidosis Clear (Non-Carrier) DNA Test
2004 - Pip goes International
As Pip has her Pet Passport from her trip to Finland, she asked me if perhaps she could come on the next shopping trip to France. Well I am always in need of some company on these trips so I took her along and we combined the shopping with a CACS show in Le Havre. Not only did Pip take the CACS, she won Best in Group and then Third Best in Show. Her shopping included a French Ticket and two of the largest trophies that you have ever seen. Well done Pip and thankyou to Mlle Regnier, who judged the breed and the group, for the write up which was just full of Excellent!

Pip at a few weeks old.
I was sitting in the whelping box one evening before the pups eyes were open. I picked her up, and she just opened her eyes and looked at me, then closed them again.
I was smitten and she was staying.

The classic lines of the English Springer Spaniel puppy at speed -
but at least this one is coming towards me.
